What is Boffy’s Play Café?
We’re cosy and inviting play café designed for adults, babies, toddlers, and young children. We offer beautifully curated play areas, great coffee, a delicious café menu, and relaxed sessions for families to enjoy together. Our aim is to provide an enjoyable experience for both adults and children.

 

What ages is the play area suitable for?
Our play café is perfect for:

• Babies (0–18 months)

• Young children (up to approx. 6 years)

 

Older siblings are welcome but must be mindful of smaller children.

 

Do adults need to stay during the session?
Yes. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

 

What are your opening days and times?
We run three 90-minute sessions per day, five days a week. We are open on Saturday mornings for sessions and for parties in the afternoon. Please check here for the current session schedule.

Where can I park? 

Unfortunately we don't have parking at Boffy's. however, there is plenty of free parking close by in Pocklington and at West Green Car Park.​

 

Bookings & payments

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, sessions often fill up, so booking in advance is recommended. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available.

 

Can I change or cancel my booking?
We operate a no-refund and no-reschedule policy witch acceptations when stated otherwise.

How long are the sessions?
Each session lasts 90 minutes and parties are 2 hours long with time for setting up beforehand.

 

Can I arrive late?
Yes, but your session will still end at the scheduled time.

 

On the day

Do you allow prams or buggies inside?
Yes, we have a designated buggy parking area. If the buggy park is full, you are able to leave it by the side of your table.

 

Do children need to wear socks?
Yes, for hygiene and safety, socks must be worn in the play area by adults and children.

 

Can I bring my own food or drink?
No, sorry, only food and drink purchased at Boffy's Play Café may be consumed on site. (Allergy exceptions can be considered, please speak to a member of staff.)

Do you cater for allergies?
Yes, we provide allergen information for all menu items. Please notify staff of any allergies before ordering.

 

Do you have highchairs?
Yes, highchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Food & drink

What kind of food and drink do you offer?

Our food and drinks menu includes:

• Matcha, hot chocolate, iced drinks, kids drinks

• Toasties, sandwiches, kids lunches

• Pastries, cakes, snacks

Can I order during the session?
Yes, you can order food and drinks throughout your visit.​

 

Safety & cleanliness

Is the play area cleaned between sessions?
Yes, we clean and reset the play area, dining area, and bathrooms between every session.

 

What happens if my child gets sick during the session?
Please let us know immediately. We may ask you to leave early to protect the wellbeing of other families.

 

Parties & events

Do you host birthday parties?
Yes, we offer party packages and private hire options. See our Party page for details.

How far in advance should I book a party?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead to secure your preferred date.

​

Do you allow outside catering for parties?
Only birthday cake or allergy-safe food approved in advance.
